This episode is called, My Friends
I have a friend, who cannot see.
She has a disability.
Her dog Samantha is her guide
And keeps her safe when she’s outside.
I have a friend who cannot run.
He cannot walk but he’s not done.
For in his wheelchair he is King.
It helps him do most anything.
I have a friend who cannot hear
But she can speak it’s very clear.
Her hands can create any word.
Like tree or sea, or board or bird.
I have a friend who looks like me
But deep inside feels differently.
They want to live and love and play
In their own very special way.
I have a friend who loves to learn
Each detail is of great concern.
He can get lost inside his shell.
But as a friend? He does excel.
I have a friend, from far away
But I know that she’s here to stay.
She came here so she could be free
And brought with her – diversity
I love my friends; I love them all,
Their differences, both great and small.
And as our friendship grows each day
I learned a thing along the way.
It doesn’t matter where you’re from
When we are blowing bubble gum.
It doesn’t matter how you think
When we are skating on a rink.
It doesn’t matter how you speak
When we are playing hide and seek.
It doesn’t matter how you move
When we are dancing in a groove
It doesn’t matter how you see
When you are telling jokes to me.
It doesn’t matter how you feel
So long as our friendship is real.
What matters most, is just one thing
That we are friends – through everything.
Friends through laughter, friends through tears
And friends for many, many years.
