This story is called Who Do I Love the Most?

I asked myself a question,
That I’d never asked before.
Between my mom and dad,
Is there one that I love more?

It’s impossible to answer,
But, sometimes it does occur
That perhaps I have a favourite.
That’s there one, that I prefer.

Now I had to make a list
That’s complete and iron clad -
Reasons why I loved my mom,
Reasons why I loved my dad

Mom has the greatest kisses,
A gold medal every year.
No boob-boo could survive them.
They dried up every tear.

Dad has the greatest hugs,
So gentle and so tight.
No matter how I felt that day
His hugs made me feel right.

Mom has the sweetest laugh,
Just like a melody.
I love to tell her funny jokes.
She always laughs with me.

Dad has the sweetest voice,
So warm and calm and deep.
Every time he reads a story
It puts me fast to sleep.

I love my mommy’s pancakes,
They’re tasty and so sweet.
I love my daddy’s burgers,
There’s just so good to eat.

This is hard, I can’t decide!
What could the answer be?
I guess the only answer is:
I love them - equality

But... If I ask to stay up late,
My mom and dad say no.
They make me do my homework
And practice piano.

They make me eat my vegetables
No matter what the kind.

They both better be careful.
Or I might just change my mind!
